VERSO - Open Days in Brussels

VERSO participated at the 10th European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, 8-11 October 2012. The INTERREG IVC programme organised two workshops, which were followed by cross-sectorial networking sessions. "An excellent way to find to exchange ideas and experience on project findings, good practices and results among the INTERREG IVC project partners”, says Anette Eriksen VERSO Project Manager, who found it very inspiring to be part of the Open Days.

FRAMEWORK SET FOR EUROPEAN RESEARCH IN VOLUNTEERING

On the 4th of September the Knowledge Partners from Hungary, Denmark and Spain travelled to Ioannina city for the first INTERREGional VERSO workshop organised by the University of Ioannina. Project Political Board for VERSO appointed

To strengthen the interplay between VERSO, regional political authorities and the voluntary sector in Europe, the project has set up a Project Political Board of twelve members, who were appointed 30 May at the VERSO Kick-off conference. (20.6.2012)

What works? Knowledge partners meet up in Middelfart

The VERSO project is a synthesis between a development project, a research project and a regional political change project in which independent researchers collaborate with regional political authorities. Four European research institutions are involved in the project. The project researchers had their second meeting in connection with the VERSO Kick-off Conference in Middelfart. (20.6.2012)

Europe needs inventive thinking

Unemployment is increasing in Europe and the traditional systems can clearly not solve today’s problems. It requires inventive thinking and a different type of interaction between political authorities and civil society, says Niels Rosendal Jensen, Associate Professor at Aarhus University and Manager of the VERSO project.
